Slipknot vs. Cannibal Corpse

Okay... this has gone way too far. Cannibal Corpse fans (like me) and Slipknot fans hate each other. I hate slipknot and their fans. Vote who you like better and post why.

I voted Cannibal Corpse because they are more true to their fans and they take a hell of a lot more talent. Slipknot also mixes rap in with their music (not metal) and djs (not metal), and fucking trash cans (not metal) which I hate.

i voted for Slipknot only for a couple reasons...the major one being im just not a fan of Death Metal really i like some but not the type Cannibal Corpse does. 2nd would be i love Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses by Slipknot (in my opinion its a very killer album) and thought their 1st and 2nd album had some sick songs in them (i only have their 3rd album though). and finally i just like Corey Taylor\m/.....but i do have respect for Cannibal Corpse because last i heard they are like one of the best selling Death Metal bands ever..so thats pretty impresive to i think.

Slipknot is just way too simple. THey are more punk then metal.

Never compare slipknot to punk again. It does a huge misdeed to punk.

The guitars are way too simple to be metal. Punk has pretty simple guitars, so I sometimes consider it punk, or Pop music. Pop is probably the best category though. That or emo or hardcore.

Actually it is quite the opposite. If you look at any Cannibal Corpse video on the web, you see all Slipknot fans bashing on CC, and CC fans just laughing at them and how retard they are. They spell shit so fucking wrong so they can feel hardcore (they are not) or because they are stupid.

A lot of pseudo metalheads decide to take punk characteristics, and then bash punk. They dont really have punk characteristics, since punk guitars are rarely downtuned, and the simplicity is about it. I think slipknot might be even simpler than most punk.

calling Slipknot even KINDA like punk is an insult to the Ramones.
