The majority of Zeppelin’s songs consist of boring stuff.

For the most part they were pretty dull. But their dullness was different, and people were willing to overlook 98% of all their songs because the remaining 2% were way ahead of their time.

In a sense, GNR and Van Halen are better than Led Zeppelin (speaking in terms of opinion), but what made Zep famous was their innovation, which really wasn’t even so much innovation as it was bringing pre-existing styles and bringing them to the public eye.

You have to be kidding.

Angus Young makes catchy riffs but that’s it. He’s nowhere near the best. At all. He’s not even in the top ten.
