The Offering was wack? Behind Stained Glass was aight, but it wasn’t wack... I will admit that Undeniable kinda sucked, though. The only song I still play nearly everyday from it was on Styles P’s last album too

I’m gonna go with Lupe and Atmosphere (Slug). I dont' know why people haven’t been sayin shit about him he’s ridiculous.

Jay Z has his moments but is a lil overrated.

Nas is really good lyrically but I don’t really enjoy listening to his music.

Lil Wayne is waaaay overrated and shouldnt be in this conversation.

Chamillionaire is close for me I love his music probably more than anybody on this list.

eminem has the potential to be the best as you can hear on the song “Lose Yourself” but most of his songs are just stupid and he doesnt use his full talent.

What do you guys think about Fort Minor (Mike Shinoda)? I think the dude is better as a rapper in Linkin Park but as a straight lyricist the dude is pretty sick.

As for the people on the list

Eminem- Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LP were fire Eminem Show was pretty hot Encore was underrated by a lot of people but didn’t live up to Em’s other work so he can’t be the best rapper alive maybe of all time but not right now

Lil Wayne- He puts out fire mixtapes(Da Drought is Over 2,Da Drought 3) and The Carter II,III are near classics not to mention having the number one single and tons of hot guest appearances def the best rapper doing it right now

Lupe Fiasco- Obviously he’s a talented lyracist , really overrated but has talent. Can have some crossover success because Superstar was a pretty big hit

Dr. Dre- One of if not THE best producers in the game but shouldn’t of had any votes since he uses ghost writers.

Nas- Is good but besides Illmatic and Stillmatic hasn’t really put out anything that IMO is good. Hip Hop is Dead was preachy and hypocritical to me so not really feeling it at all fell off a lot IMO.

Jay Z- Kingdom Come was a criminally underrated album not Reasonable Doubt but not as bad as Blueprint 2 and was better than half the albums that came out that year. American Gangster a near classic and hot as hell a top 5 rapper right now

Jin- Not really anything more than a good battle rapper can’t really get it done in the booth

DMX- Not relevant at all in the rap game right now hasn’t put out anything good lately

Overall Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive and the best on that list with Jay close behind but after Mr.Carter I think that Jay pretty much handed down the torch to Wayne as the best alive.

Eminem-..He aint the best rapper alive because he hasnt put shit out for a while...so he’s automatically not in the discussion

Chamillionaire-Always spits hot..Last album was overshadowed by Kanye and 50’s rivalry,very few knew that Cham was comin' out with a CD too..Plus...I haven’t even heard him on a track in a good 6-8 months

Jay Z-..I wanna say he’s the best rapper alive..Every verse I’ve heard him on lately he kills the track..And yeah i heard Mr. Carter about him passin the torch but Wayne was obviously outshined on the song..I’d say Jay is #2

Nas-..I love me some classic Nas shit but this album he’s got comin' out doesn’t seem too promising..It’s got a weird feel to it..so No

Lil Wayne-..We all know how I feel about him..I won’t say he’s the best rapper alive,but I will say that he’s the hottest out..He constantly puts out good material,and I cant front on a millie in the first week of sales...-Hottest Out

Lupe Fiasco-..The Cool went gold so it shows that people do enjoy lyricism but to be the best rapper alive,you have to be the total package..I’d say he’s #3 on that list

Kanye West-...is the total package...Good mainstream appeal,good producer,gets lyrical with the best of em,has a broad range of subject matter,and is respected by hip hop..He’s the best rapper alive

cant say nas is dead considering he was nominated for a grammy on an album he made two years before.. “hip hop is dead”. kanye is currently the full package right now but i wont say hes the best lyricist. theres a difference between a rapper and lyricist and kanye is one and not the other. i think lil wayne’s verse on “a millie” was ok, not great. id have to say lil mama, fab, jay, or cass killed that track freestyling. props goes to lil mama tho for straight rippin it with the spanish.

best rapper alive right now is yeezy.only because hes so mainstream...but i dont like how he references biggie and wants to be compared to him. that will never happen. biggie is in another world.

you guys need to check out jr writer. his new album is pretty sick and i would add him to the candidate list
