Yes you heard right. Moviecodec now has it’s own award show with your hosts, creators, and forum friends, Zucas and SA-X. Over the past week we have been thinking and designing this award show to find a way that works. And we have got that and providing it the best way possible. We have 5 categories with award topics inside.
The setup is that these 5 categories all represent a general idea. Those area:
1. Personality Awards
2. Appearance on Site Awards
3. Forum Life Awards
4. Most Likely... Awards
5. Overall Awards
In these 5 categories are several awards. The Personality category has 8 awards. The Appearance on Site category has 8 awards. The Forum Life category has 4 awards. The Most Likely... category has 6 awards. And the Overall category has 16 awards. That’s an overall 42 awards to be given out. Well we don’t have anything to give but more like a title.
The way this works is that in a few days we’ll be letting out one of those categories with the awards in there. The 1st time you are going to nominate someone to be in there. So such as in a Personality award you may nominate yourself if you wish or someone you know on this site that best fits that. You’ll have 2 days to submit.
To submit a nomination for an award in the category you must email SA-X. That email address will be provided on the day the categories are presented. When you email you do not need to leave a name as it is your privacy to not be judged on who you nominate. Each award will be #. When you send your nomination put on the number of the award who you want nominated. It’s as easy as that. As stated before each category will be given 2 days for you to submit your nominations then that categories nominations will be closed. The top 5 choices will be put as nominees. In the event of a tie myself and SA-X will choose which one goes in. You’ll never know who had the tie so no hard feelings can arise.
After 2 days another category will be open for the nomination polls until all 5 categories are done. As soon as we finish up tallying the nominations we’ll make a topic showing you who the nominees are. That will be left up for a few days.
Then the voting begins. And the same process as before will be used. Once again you’ll send and email to SA-X’s address with your vote. All awards will be numbered and you put your choice in that number. And after 2 days that category will be closed and the next category will be open. Process will continue until all 5 categories are finished. Myself and SA-X will tally up the votes and then share with you the winners of the awards.
Now this is not a joke although some of the awards you should have a little fun with. And we aren’t trying to put anyone down so if you dont' win an award no crying haha. Remember with nominations you can nominate anyone if you think they fit that award category. Although do remember if this someone does not fit this award or no one knows who they are the chances of them winning is slim.
We need everyone to join in on this. Anyone can vote and anyone can nominate. If your newer to this site then maybe nominations ain’t the best idea but we definetly will exploit the democratic process.
Just remember you’ll be emailing SA-X in the setup of the numbers for the awards in teh category of that day. Nominations and votes put on the topic it’s created in will not county. Making an email takes like 5 secs so don’t use that as an excuse not to participate. We want this to be huge and fun. Something to make Moviecodec just better than the rest. And this kinda thing is what makes this site better.
Myself and SA-X are long time members of this forum and we feel this is something that will be great with this site. We hope everyone participates in on the fun. Everyone is open for nomination. SA-X: After some more conversing, Zucas and I are thinking of revealing the winners of the 1st Annual MovieCodec Awards through a podcast. This still hasn’t been decidec on, but the possibilities are endless.
