A powerful weapon

Would it be possible, realsitically, to create a bomb-like weapon that can cause more damage then the most powerful of nuclear weapons?

I think so. Even bigger than the ones that were dropped in Japan.

The ones dropped on Japan are teeny-tiny compared to what we have now.

For instance, Russia tested out the Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear weapon ever dropped. Caused a shockwave that could be picked up on it’s third pass around the world.

I think that chemical weapons have the potential to be a lot deadlier than nukes.

More powerful how?

The most devastating weapons I can think of would be bio-weapons.

Imagine smallpox being introduced into a country not vaccinated against it. If smallpox were to be introduced in Atlanta, LA, NYC, Austin, Lansing, Seattle, and Washington DC, we’d be dead.

And all it takes is a little bit in each location.

See, powerful and effective aren’t always the same thing.

Biological warfare is effective and cost-efficient. The problem is the difficulty in getting around ethics and morals.

A thermobaric weapon is about as close as you’re going to get, chemically, although anything large enough to challenge the Tsar Bomba would be unfeasible.

Well, you say it’s impossible. But before the nuclear weapon, if you and told someone we would have bombs that powerful, they’d call you crazy or say it’s impossible.

Yeah, I still think that Chemical Warfare (And I kinda tie Bio Warfare into that category, but it too) can be dozens of times more deadly than ANY nuclear weapon.
