erm we didnt evolve from 'monkeys' in the way that we know them today.. they were similar but not the same...

'monkeys' are evolving but because they have remained in their habitat and are very well suited to it there is not much for them to evolve which would truely benefit them...

as we evolved when primates left the forests and began to walk on the ground and moved to the planes.. which almost killed us off completely but we learnt to form a good social structure and our brains evolved because of this so we survived by allowing our brain to become more complex

evolution is survival of the fittest.. but if something is very suited and can survive it will still live on unless a new better evolved creature comes along with the same niche (niche is a species needs in a sense.. so food.. terrain.. warmth etc).. something which is bigger n better but eats different food isnt going to pose a threat but something which is better and eats the same food / lives in the same place etc stands a good chance of killing off your species in nature.

as for chicken and the egg... the egg would have come first obviously you cant have a chicken which didnt hatch from an egg..

as for where the egg came from well it would have come from whatever the chicken evolved from... at the point where you would draw the line between chicken and whatever it evolved from... its a tough line to make because each generation is almost identical.. but there is a large difference between the 1st ever generation and the current generation...

So fried chicken and eggs it is.

due to the fact that none of us know EXACTLY where(or what) we came from we should stop making assumptions on it.
