calculating power of fusion

for example lets say base form trunks was a power level 400,000 and gohan was 600,000...
heres the outcome of the fusion...

A.600,000+400,000=1000,000
B.600,000-400,000=200,000-
A.result.1000,000
B.result.200,000-
=800,000

so gotrunks would have the power level of 800,000

but if we used we used people with equal power levels here’s how it would come out..

Goku.500,000
Vegeta.500,000

A.500,000+500,000=1000,000
B.500,000-500,000=0

a.1000,000
b.0 -
=1000,000
Base form Vegoku.1000,000
