Ours, being a pretty normal star, would probably die and leave a white dwarf. But then there’s a neutron star and then a black hole, which are also possibilities.
If it becomes a white dwarf, eventually it will be a black dwarf (It takes so long there’s actually none in existence, yet.) Which emits no heat or light. (Good luck finding it.) Does it have a surface? Who knows. It’s possible. Will humans even exist then? Probably not. Unless we move off this planet to another.. but after billions of years, we’d of probably lost track of where we originated from and this will just be a lost solar system, forgotten among the billions of others.
