darkness will always find a way
but really neither can’t exist without each other.
no light means you can’t see. no darkness means you are blinded. but put together there is balance.
I guess “half full or half empty”, if by “light and dark”, you mean creative and destructive forces, since they happen simultaneously, and there’s never been any recorded evidence of either of them ever stopping.

Alright,so what if the explosion knocked out all electricty.
Law of physics; Energy never truly dies, it just transforms. The energy which made that light will continue to exist.

They tie, the light wins when the sun comes up and then it loses when the sun goes down.
But in retrospect dark cannot overpower the light. It can only claim areas as light recedes
Unless it’s a black hole where light can’t escape.

The light isn’t extinguished it just cannot breach the gravitational field.
Where does it go? It’s not an illusion. Light does not contour around the black hole from our vantage point. Light simply cannot escape the area of path. Gravity gone mad creates the dark. Just as dark matter physically exists in our universe and makes up the majority of it.

Well going back to what you said kinda, light is composed of energy or matter and you cannot destroy matter. Hawkins tried to counter this belief but his hypothesis and math was quickly scrutinized and his math was challenged. When a problem was discovered in equations he had to rethink his argument. Then he came up with the fact that black hole might lead to white hole in other dimensions where everything is expelled. So thusly the light dose technically escape just elsewhere
