I have a choice. I want to go to College. However, I’m worried I may be unprepared because I would skip High School. I’m leaning towards heading to College. But what do you guys think?

College. But I’m just worried I’ll get there and I’ll be doing questions about things I skipped that I would have learned in High school. I’m worried I’ll be unprepared. Do terrible on my work.

Then you should go to high school if you feel that you will be unprepared for college. Just do what you think is right for you.

Stay in high school for the time being.

It’s a lot harder to support yourself at that age, and it’s better to finish your education and move on to college because you’d get even more out of your 4 years (or more) at college. You’d have the same education, however whatever you take in high school comes free.

Well it depends if I can even pass the tests they will give me to see if I’m ready. But I’ll prob pass.

And what exactly do you mean 'support yourself'?

For instance, you can take calculus in both high school and college. If you take it in high school, the education is free, and you would have a background of that area in mathematics when you enter college.

If you take the course in college you’d get the same education, but it would take time away from a class you could have taken (if you took it in high school) rather than having the background of it and applying it to another field.

Did I mention it costs a crap load of money to take the course in college?

Get a job to pay for your every day expenses, your housing at college, your food...

Not to mention you’d have to find a way of transportation, and you’re too young to get a drivers license at 15. Even if you could get one, you’d be on provisional for at least half a year. The best way of transportation would be bike, and depending on the campus, it could be harder to reach classes.

Probably intelligent enough to go to college.

However, he’d have to cover the classes needed to get his degree, and classes (Such as pre cal/calculus) can be taken in high school for free, and it would save him room for better classes when he actually goes to college.

I now see what you mean. good point. However, I find normal school work boring. I completed my entire work load by February last year. I also find regular school boring, slow, and dull. Not because the work is hard, but because it’s easy. Last year I had the option to pass 2 grades. I declined and took up advanced material for home school. My mother said she believes I have the capabilities to skip right on to College.

As for the cost, I get everything, yeah, everything, for free.
