Question for you christians

Alright, this has been bothering me for a while now, maybe one of you can answer it. If jesus was said to be the king of the jews, even in the bible (i.e. it was written on his cross in 3 different languages “king of the jews” then why is it you all call yourselves christians instead of jews? I mean, jesus was the king of the jews, and you all worship him, so why arn’t you called jews?

Then why would Jesus say, “pay Ceasars things to Ceasar, but Gods things to God”, when using a coin with Caesars Head on it as an aid in answering a question?

Any way the title of Caesar was an imperial title given to whoever was Emporer at the time.

Many Jews at the time were hailing him as the Messiah, some Jews saying he was a false prophet.
The Supporters who went on to become Christians would dis-asociate themselves in name from the Jewish unbelievers. Jews today do not recognize Christ, and their bible, the Torah, consists of no new testement text and no Jesus.
Therefore anyone who would follow Christ would not call himself a Jew.
