because, it bleeds you, and shaves your skin to get underneath your skin, and besides, once you get it, you better like it because theres no going back about it.
You can always go back. Sure through expensive and painful surgery but its possible.

good point... but if i got the tatoo, i wouldnt spend more to get rid of it, and my coisin got one and he said that it sucked to get rid of it. It was the girl he loved and almost got married to, then he got drunk one night and left him, so he had to get rid of the tatoo... but im fine with piercing or scars, as long as they have a meaning.

Deadman has just always been me, a part of me, not me. Its complicated.
And flaming skulls with eyeballs for brains just kick too much ass.

people have that...
I personally, prefer having no body modding. I know god isnt perfect, and never intended us to be that way, but its in my religioun to respect what god gave me to live with, even if i hate who i am.

Mariomaniac - what do you mean they “shave the skin” to give you a tattoo?

Im guessing so. I think body art is determined by the user in its significance. Using Deadman as an example. the deadman on his back is meaningful to him and personal. The other scull one is just for athsetic reasons..EG it looks cool!
Body art is not for everyone and it is a personal choice..Mine, as you will see when i post a pic(got to find that bleedin camera..Its around here somewhere) is a picture of my Avitar..well actualy my avitar is my tattoo design
Anyhow, as i have mentioned in previous threads, Wolves are a very VERY BIG part of who i am...we are basicly inseperable. same will go for my other tats that i get when i get some more funds together..I only get a tattoo when i accomplish something big. I got my wolf tat when i lost around 30 KG and kept it off. It is a constant reminder of what i have achieved and gives me strength for the hard journeys ahead.
Getting a tattoo should be permanant and as several of the other forum members are deliberating, it is a hard choice..although not always..Body art can be afirming and spiritual and can beutify the body. BUT ONLY IF YOU MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE...
Know in your heart what you want and go and do it..life is too short to take hesitate on what the heart and soul already know but the brain does not.
