I believe the cure for boredom is amusement... o.o

The subject matter of curiosity is boredom and the cure for curiosity is experience

amusement is merely a substitute for boredom, something to bide your time until your curiosity takes you elsewhere

and experience doesn’t cure it, baggage {financial, family, life) blocks it, or disinterest in anything outside their bubble stifles it

“curiosity killed the cat” is a misprint of the true phrase “worry {fear of falling} killed the cat” curiosity leads to breakthrough and LeClairity wink

Noo..

Amusement is the cure for Boredom no matter what. Even in future references, Amusement will take the place of Boredom.

Experience limits the need for curiosity, It does not get rid of it. Curiosity is the brains sense of thought with the “what if” patterns. It is impossible to get rid of Curiosity as a whole, But experience shortens some of the “what if” sentences to “And the result is.."

The cure for Curiosity is Imagination.
Through thought and imagination, one can pursue the endless possibilities of a situation, therefore eliminating the need to be curious.

Although one may still be curious at first, once a person actually indulges their curiosity and discovers that the reality is far less exciting than the thoughts of the mind...curiosity no longer becomes a exciting prospect.

Thanks Cid..I think?

Anyhow. I always thought of Boredom as the bi-product of a untrained/unfocused mind and a lack of imagination/creativity.

Lock a person in a room with nothing but 4 walls and a ceiling and the unfocused/unimaginative person will go slowly crazy from boredom. A imaginative/focused person might start to reflect on events leading up to their imprisonment, then they might start counting the specks on the wall, stare blindly at the ceiling until they see some sort of image from eye strain..many possibilities await the person who has imagination. The other person who lacks this creativity will surely go mad from boredom.

Truly, there is no such thing as boredom but a lack of peoples willingness to think outside the conventional and the obvious to find something to amuse themselves with.

That wasn’t me, but you’re welcome anyway. grin

I suppose I’m not a very curious person because my curiosity wasn’t strong enough to pull me through the boring opening on the movie. All I saw was a black screen and heard some crappy music.

There will always be questions. imagination CAUSES curiosity, not cures it...
