The messages in 10,000 Days. The new Tool album

Every step of my slow arduous path to, hopeful, enlightenment. Every twist in my life in the last 11 years has been ghosted by James Maynard Keenan and the boys in Tool. If not for his complex and esoteric/metaphysical topics, which over time have led to THIS album and the spiritualality of it. I would never be posting here or thinking the thoughts I do. So here I share why I love Tool, A Perfect Circle and Maynard.

We listen to the tales and romanticize,
How we follow the path of the hero

Difficult to see you in this light.

Melodrama? He’s merely expressing a connection that he has found between music and his thoughts in this period of his life. I’ve felt the same way about music, as have many others. I feel sorry for those who haven’t, as music is one of the most important things in my life. Calling this melodramatic sounds empty. Music is music. The connection is real. Don’t cheapen it.
