What on Gods wonderful green and violent earth is Airsoft?

My wife and I just got done talking with each other and she told me about airsoft. She emailed me a website call ShoryUSA.com where they sell guns only they shoot BBs instead of bullets. They look cool and all but are they as good as paintball?

It is better then paintball guns in my opinion. You can buy a machine gun, shotgun, pistol, and many others and it shoots little BBs. If you buy the gas operated gun the bbs sting a hell of lot more.

Airsoft is a MilSim sport. I’m surprised that the military didn’t have you train with airsoft rifles. You don’t want to buy a Walmart rifle, as they have very poor power, range, and accuracy. You want companies such as ICS, Classic Army, and Tokyo Marui rifles because they make that authentic military feel you and I know all too well. Of course, there are minor differences, but these 300 dollar guns make good wall hangers and great recreational tool. I maintain an ICS M16, although with some modifications, it is the M16A2 I am used to.

SS, don’t let them fool you. I used to think that Airsoft was the greatest. Wrong. If you want to compare it to something, try comparing it to a toy. Also, anyone who says Airsoft hurts more is retarded. I had to quit playing airsoft mostly because I wasn’t noticing getting hit. Paintball is WAY better. It’s a real, nationally recognized sprot with a better safety record (I’ve heard plenty of stories about people getting losing eyes and eardrums to airsoft and only one story of someone being severely injured by paintball). The ONE advantage of Airsoft over Paintball is the fact that Airsoft is cheaper. But then again, there’s a reason for that. Everything Airsoft is cheaply made except the high end ones that cost a few hundred bucks. And even those are usually mostly (if not all) plastic. So yeah.

PAINTBALL > airsoft

We trained with modified M16’s that shot paintball guns intead of bullets. It was fun as hell (although I could never find the freaking directions into modifying my rifle.) But, yeah they said it was more authentic. I’ll try it when I get back from the states because I can go back into the corps to become a LT, so its a civilain life for me after this shit. Oh well.
