This just shows how much of a jackass president Bush is... and it shows how much of an asshole most Christians are. Discriminating homosexuals just because of their religion... Homosexuals are people too, and I think all people should be treated equally no matter what their opinions or beliefs are. What would Jesus do? I think Jesus would love everyone, even gay people. Jesus loved me enough to die for me, and look how much of a worthless bastard I am. If Jesus really did care about me (which I am now unsure of) than im sure he would care about anyone else just as much.
Here’s a part of the article regarding the religious opinion...
Dr. James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, warned that the true intent of the bill was “to muzzle people of faith who dare to express their moral and biblical concerns about homosexuality.” If you read the Bible in a certain way, he told his broadcast listeners, “you may be guilty of committing a ’thought crime.”
I believe it’s completely not needed, as much i gays bother me, i still acknowledge they are humans and deserve rights.
Now i haven’t read the article (yet) but you just simply blaming Christians is not needed. My cousins family are hardcore Christians, the Church, the praying, the follow the commandments kinda people. And yet gays and stuff don’t bother them.
And religion shouldn’t define people, people should define religion.
I’ll go read it now, i may edit this post if needed.
Actually, after lightly scanning over the article, it seems that Bush is actually defending gays.
“This is an important vote of conscience, of a statement of what America is, a society that understands that we accept differences,” said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md."
Nerevar: Im not blaming this whole thing on gays at all. Im just saying Christians add to the whole deal about hating gays and all that shit.
I mean im not gay and I completely disagree with homosexuality. But I still think they should be treated as equals because they are still human. No matter what they believe.

What kind of human likes people of the same gender?
NO human.
They are aliens that look like humans and have come to earth to find an alien mate, so they do not have equal rights as humans because they are illegal aliens from space.

What do you think about this?
I think that’s a load of BS. I listen to Dobson, and there ain’t no way he’d say something like that...
