I didn’t know how to computer edit until a little over a year ago. I don’t even use photoshop, though I do have it.
I use Paint.Net to take the main image and duplicate that in two layers, then create a new layer and move it down between the two duplicates. I then open the image {like a face} and play around with the size and placement. Then switch to the top layer and erase what I don’t want
the most time is spent on playing with the colour settings to get a good match, otherwise I create a new layer above the main one and change the layer settings to “Multiply” that way any colour you lay down on that layer adds to the one below instead of replacing it.
