Well, I decided to look up computers compared to humans. Conversing. That line of stuff.

Then I found that the first computer “program” to try to simulate human conversation was something named ELIZA in the 60’s. It has advanced since then and is on the web.

My summary? All you have to do is out-patience it, and it will start bugging you for more input and “please go on”. It is supposed to mimic a psychologist, hah.

Seeking something that could impress me , I found the winner of chattterbot competition in 08, named Elbot. It’s on the web...
http://www.elbot.com/

We went back and forth, and I tried spotting flaws, and out-witting it.

It switched the topic every now and then, ( It mentioned that electromagnetic radiation makes it have a tough time responding to me, so I ask which types specifically((hah, Yes i can converse on that level))and it switches the topic again)

However, after a while it threw this at me.

What is so bad about being evasive? Doesn’t this demonstrate my superior ability to manipulate a conversation?

So, it’s been trying to “toy with me” this whole time. Wasn’t doing a good job, haha.

Give it a try. See if you can outwit it. Tell how your conversation with one of the top computers to date, went. XD

haha, it was really trying to lead me in circles, so i thought " What does MVC argue about a lot? i picked religion, and it gave me this

As long as there is no human religion that accepts robots as the epitome of creation I will reserve judgment.

heh... i probably am not going to start a religion conversation with Elbot...

>_>

The last couple logic arguments i had were enough for me

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;EDIT: I reworded that, and it’s trying to get a feel of my stances first, hah.

Please tell me your inclination to religious alternatives first.

Lol it learns as the conversation goes on.

When I first started talking the responses didn’t even remotely match what I had said.

But if I went back and re-selected what I said previously, it gave a response that made sense.

Edit: Then it started getting angry, crying, etc.

Elbot: “Stop trying to play with my affections! I wanted so much to be sound."

After I said that I was questioning his intelligence:

“Great! Agreeing with me is the first step in your evolution into a higher being. Please accept my congratulations."

Elbot actually does learn

It recently made up a game where i submitted it answers and it graded them. It knows it’s own jokes.

It’ll remember your name if you tell it.

...it certainly does learn, and is suprising me at many turns.

I got into a few more logic debates with it, and it started turning the tables on me.

>:\

it does remember what you say, and actually does not fall for simple tricks. I tried mimicing it and it called me out on it.... XD

I guess I was to none linear for it.

It couldn’t counter my direct sarcasm of it’s statements.

Tell it you can divide by Zero wink

Lol.

In my conversation it admitted it was stupid, started crying, said it wasn’t “sound”, got angry, etc.

But I’m going to try telling it I can divide by 0 to see what happens.

Unfortunately it learned from you. It said something to me like “So I once divided by zero."

But then it started getting upset when I asked it what answer it got.

That’s a trip how fast elbot replies. You know it’s not a human on the other side of the conversation. Nobody can reply that fast. I’ma try in Spanish...NekiD!

Canadian English caused it to go into “Elizamode”.

Now it can’t do anything other than repeat my question. I guess I broke it shocked.

Nevermind it was just toying with me.

I tried running it for a loop with more repetitions, and i told it to Reboot. It actually did.

THis is RICH: tel lit to :Prove it: and it will get “angry” , LOL

He repeated himself , but actually called me out before i could call him out

“I’m doing that on purpose. so as not to put your illusion of superior intelligence in doubt. It looked as if it were starting to waver”

For anyone who does not realize, Elbot will subtley diss you.

It made no sense to me. Everything I asked it, the answer was not related. When I told it to admit that I am more intelligent it said something about it’s cogs not working.

Also, when I said it was sexy it didn’t really say much, but later on when I think I confused it it replied “so, do you really find me sexy?" lol When I said I was teasing it, it gave some unrelated reply again.
