Okay, I just need help with some terms and objects and such...

First off...

My story takes place in the late tenth century...

At a wedding, I need to know what the best clothes would be (for a class between peasants aristocracy), and what they would have in the stead of rice to throw as the newlyweds emerge from the church.

Peasants usually wore sackcloth of the darker color variety, this is also in the dark ages and before the Renaissance so showering was usually only relegated to at most three times a year, usually less though. And the cuffs of their sleeves were long too alomst knee length in some cases.

Nobles wore cotton and silk and the colors ranged from soft lights to deep dark colors. The woman’s hairdos often were ornate and I’m not sure if wigs had came into fashion yet.

of course I’m a bit fuzzy and you may want to do more research. It also depends on what county were talking about as 10th century England =/= 10th century China

It may be dark ages, but it is leaning more toward the Renaissance, simply because the setting is Atlantis, which is well known for being more advanced.
But it is going to be leaning more toward England.

But thank you. This will give me a bit more incite on those 2 last things I need to fix.
