Was it cause you’re emo?
Not at all.
It is the same as saying “Post here if you hate people for being black, or depressed, or Christians”
It is a horrible thing to do. Grow the fuck up, kid.
A horrible thing to do? It’s a fucking forum. There’s a big ass difference from being black and being emo, you can control being emo, people are emo because they’re losers, black people can’t help that they’re black, and being depressed is the same shit as being emo. And religion is just retarded overall so don’t bring that shit into this.
*sigh* People do not choose to be depressed or emo, fool, it is a serious ailment. It is genetic. You are just a child, so I will forgive your ignorance for now, but please don’t be so ignorant in the future.
LMAO, look at you, on your emo throne, thinkin' you’re all big? So being emo is a condition now? No, it’s a style of life chosen by losers who are too lazy, fat, and whiny to do anything about the “problem” in their lives, which is usually a problem of minimal seriousness.
My question to all of you is, what is your take on this?
Is Depression a choice or a genetic, uncontrollable thing.
And should discrimination against 'emos' or people with depression be against the rules if it is not already?
Well I think everyone feels depressed once and a while but I don’t think it necessarily means that they have clinical depression. I mean clinical depression actually has physical symptoms such as aches and pains, loss of energy ect. However some people may still feel depressed. So I think it really depends on the person.
When you are depressed, you move on with life. You don’t show everyone you’re depressed with some sort of label, and you aren’t an attention whore.
When you’re emo, you show it off, and make the problem worse. You cut yourself, wear black, listen to shitty music, and feel sorry for yourself, and spread your negative energy everywhere.

Not true at all, seriously, quit being so ignorant.
anyone who is depressed needs help, they are going to talk about it, it doesn’t mean they are going to show it off with a label. and not everyone CAN move on. depression is tough, try having chronic clinical depression some time. not fun.

I have to agree with Link here, but Pagemaster, I also agree with you. You two actually agree it seems, it’s just you guys are defining words different.
Link seems to be talking about the stereotypical emo who do shit for attention. Not the people who actually have a problem, and
Pagemaster, I do think your situation is justified with depression.
Link, Pagemaster feels better when he can talk about his feelings to people. It’s great medication, along with music, movies, etc.
Like, if your mom and dad disappear and the police find their bodies tortured to death, and you get depressed, then obviously there’s nothing wrong.
But I’ve honestly seen fat girls with shitty attitudes and personalities that me and my friends never talk to, coming up to us and asking us to go out with them. Obviously, when we say no, we get more attractive, healthier girls, with hilarious personalities and positive attitudes, the fat ones go emo.
Like, wtf? It’s YOUR fault you’re overweight, it’s YOUR fault you have a shitty attitude, and wearing black clothes, crying, and feeling sorry for yourself isn’t going to do anything.
FUCK you FUCKING EMOS

That is my take on it anyways guys.

Well some people will talk about it. Not everyone does, but like I said, he is talking about people who do it for attention because they don’t fit in. You’re putting the emo label on yourself and taking offense to something that would not apply to you.

I never said that his statement applied to you. I’m only saying that you are interpreting his statement so it applies to you when it doesn’t.

Being Emo and being depressed aren’t the same thing,so making fun of somebody for being Emo shouldn’t be against the rules.
We should look at it in a case by case basis. For instance if some one makes a topic that says “I’m emo and I cut myself all the time” Then no. It should not be against the rules. If they are just attention whores basically. But if some one’s parents died and they have some problems from that or something and they are somewhat “emo” then it should be against the rules. But flaming some one is against the rules anyway. Just bashing attention whores shouldn’t be.

When I was 13, I had an older cousin. I looked up to her, and had known her for a long time, and she was closer to me than my siblings and almost closer to me than my parents. She helped me get through hard times cause she knew what I was going through. She was killed. Murdered.
I was depressed. I went to school and tried to hide it, got the least amount of attention as possible, tried to always keep my attitude positive. Got over most of it in about a month, still scars me to this day though.
But it’s pathetic when people go emo for the dumbest reasons.
Gah, I just feel like flaming on emos right now because of recent shit at school. They’re so annoying... I guess this is sort of a vague apology.. But I still stick to my guns. Hate emos.
