What happened with hockey?
I had to move to a different city. I wasn’t interested and said no. I wanted to be drafted to the Ottawa 67’s but it didn’t happen the way I wanted it to.

You think I am being a dick by constantly putting you down and pushing you to do something with your life? Well then so be it, look at it that way. I could care less, I don’t know you and you are not one of my close friends.

You hate when people call you a kid, well what are you? A man? Who do you provide for? What are you doing with your life? You are a kid who is almost 18 and if you don’t smarten up and start taking life seriously, it won’t take you seriously. And you will be stuck with the has beens or the Never have beens and work night shift Cleaning floors in highschools.
See it’s hard to tell people what to do with there life when what you’re saying isn’t 100, also not everybody wants the life you live so for you to tell other people what to do would only be valid if they wanted the life you have.
^Hate to say it, but I agree with this.
You work for the type of life you want, you do whatever it takes to get there, there are many different ways to reach a general goal, it doesn’t always have to be one way. All I can say is, work hard, it will pay off.

Suppression and without a lending hand/break/path/easy-foot-in-the-door can really make things 100X more difficult.
^ A break? I never got drafted to the hockey team I wanted. I had a lot of relationships that never worked out because I was working and practicing for sports so much or studying for school.
A break my ass, he gave me the contract cause I fixed up some of his cars and he knows I am really good with my hands and a smart kid. Obviously dating his daughter helps, but for the most part that is what it is.
I worked for everything I have bro, don’t go giving me that “daddy’s little boy” speach or the “Dick sucking speach” there is a reason I got a contract.

Well I never really had to go through any of that I knew what I wanted to be since I was 7 or 8 a writer always had a natural talent when it came to it was reading and writing at a college level since before I was in middle school won a contest in high school that payed for my college (thank god for that cause I didn’t want to have to go to community college first) did my four years got my bachelors in creative writing and journalism and got a couple of associates in some things I got interested in while I was in school got an internship right out of college at game informer and now a couple of months into the job working on my own book got my own apartment with my long time girl things are good but I would never have gotten there without being completely focused 100% on what my dream was.
So never falter never waver never let anyone tell you that you can’t always work as hard as you can and put all of yourself into whatever it is you want to do cause if you can’t put your life into your dream then there’s no point in even going for it.
High School dosent mean shit. Yea, it’ll get you the summer job at the mall, but otherwise a HS degree dosent matter much. Yea it’s cool to graduate w/ your boys and stuff, get your class ring n such. Otherwise I wouldnt be there, because I’m not learning anything that’ll help me in the career I want to pursue. Really, depending on what you want to do, is get your GED, study hard for placement tests so you dont have to take general ED in a JR College, complete 2 years in a JC, do a 2+2 Transfer and get your degree.
