With the following I show that I have solved the Grandfather Paradox. In Short the Grandfather Paradox states that you cannot go back in time and kill your grandfather to stop yourself from being born, because you would cease to exist, and not be able to go back in time to kill your grandfather, which means he would live and you would be born.
But through using the Chaos Theory, Murphy’s Law, and the Ripple Effect I will solve this paradox.
Now for simple explanations the Chaos Theory is simply a theory used by science to explain chaotic outcomes or outcomes they can’t explain through conventional theories. Murphy’s Law simply put is what can go wrong will go wrong at the most inopportune time. And the Ripple effect is simply a spreading series of effects or consequences caused by a single event.
Now that that has all been explained lets get to the Grandfathers Paradox. Using Murphy’s Law, if time travel were possible, means that any disastrous outcome that could happen will happen so this gives the basis for it being possible to kill oneself by killing your grandfather. Using the Chaos Theory behind this; sets up the downfall of the paradox. A part of the Chaos Theory is the Butterfly Effect (not the movie) a coined phrased in 1972 by Edward Lorenz simply saying that the flaps of butterflies’ wings can cause small changes in the atmosphere and cause a tornado to appear or cause one not to appear. Simply put that small changes can cause large consequences. This sets up the Ripple Effect to hammer the final nail in the Grandfather Paradox’s coffin. Science believes time to be a stream. What happens if you throw a rock into the stream? It causes ripple to spread out in all directions from the epicenter. How dose this apply to the Grandfather Paradox? Simple: Killing your Grandfather is the stone, and you throw this stone by going back in time and killing your grandfather. According to the Grandfather Paradox this is where you vanish because you’re not born therefore making it to where you didn’t kill your grandfather and you end up being born and then the process will start over and cause a paradox loop of you killing your grandfather. But through Murphy’s Law bring in the Chaos Theory jumps starts the Ripple effect. Now since you’re from a different time killing your grandfather will not immediately affect you, it will take time for the time ripples to get to your time allowing the killing of your grandfather to become part of history. When the ripple hits the time you are from you then would vanish. Now on a side note the Ripple Effect wouldn’t just affect you it will affect anyone or any place your grandfather or any of his children would have interacted with.
What makes you think there would be a ripple effect...

Who in the hell is kenny? And whose grandfather are we talking about? And, if this is even possible, why stop at the grandfather? Why not go to the great-great-great grandfather or grandmother, and knock them off? Now that would really need some reflection, because the ripple effect would be broader. Even better, if you just want to disappear, why not just knock yourself off and be done with it?

..what if.. you killed someone who was going to save a contry .. but it didint effect your life , just everything arond you , per say would the world be hitler ized

i am neither condoning nor condeming your theory. but take into account that you are assuming that the future is a unwritten product of our actions. whats to say that it isint a pre determained series of events that will be fullfilled by someone or something if we dont take the opritunitys our selfs. basically you would be born but whether or not it would be from your grandfather would not matter. perhaps someone eles would simply become your parents. though i understand that is a weak argument what about the fact that you are assuming that space-time acts as water perfectly. why not like a photon? where durring the course of the journey it apears as a wave but the actual photon will end up in a random (though calculatable to some degree) location? so een if we could experementaly try this and kill one of our ancestors maybe it would or wouldent affect us. also i doubt we would have to worry about this becuase if we did discover a way to reverse time as it stands right now the more a mass increases the more time slows down for it and around its surounding space we would need something that would be super massive like a black hole and to create something with a mass that big it would pull our whole timeframe into the past not just us so in effect we would have two time periods overlapping..... hmm thats an interesting though..

Well for your scenario if time and space being like a photon you would have to ignore the bulk of what Science thinks it knows about Time/Space. Not saying Science is 100% accurate on how the Time/Space Continuum works

oh im just saying that since we are looking at all the posibilitys of time travel i may as well throw it out there

I disagree,I mean, it just seems so unrealistic when you think about it.

oh and not to be rude but i highly doubt that murphys law can actually be taken into a scientific discussion. can it? i doubt that there is experements done to validate it as a acurate or even usefull theory or fact to explain things.

oh what about this theory? matter cannot be created nor destroyed? if you enter a time portal then you are effectivly removing the mater that you contain and are carrying on you from the universe (since time and space are one “substance” you have just removed it from existance in that frame of referance) and also how can you create it in the next? (same explanation) k well assuming u did manage to make the hole with anti matter or what not and killed or removed your ancestor via say a stream of virtual particals or an inteanse sound wave that enters and exits space time freely anyways. how would you cease to exist with the conservation of matter law? this is how i think by asking more questions im not putting anyone down or trying to be an ass.

Unrealistic or not that is how I view it I suppose.

The Grandfather Paradox is a joke. There are so many things wrong with that theory that anyone who believes it is more than a distraction from studying the possibilities of time travel is a moron. If time travel exists in the future it has already affected the past and present. There is no paradox at all and just a bunch of close minded scientists trying to promote their own weak ass theories. Theories aren’t facts, and our understanding of the universe is constantly changing.

There are only 2 outcomes to the Grandfather paradox-BOTH of which are different and we can not prove which is right or wrong...
1.Back to the Future/Terminator
You change your past, you change your future. Enough said. YOU will be the same though because YOU-YOU is already born/the one causing the change.
The universe has changed but NOT you since YOU changed it
2. The Trunks Paradox
Trunks travels back in time to destroy #17,#18 and Cell BUT when he returns to his time they’re still there. The answer:
A NEW universe is created with another outcome. A separate past, present and future. Trunks used it so he could train with the Z fighters and become strong enough.
So either YOUR future is changed but NOT YOU
OR
you create a new Universe
I don’t think it would affect you because you wouldn’t be in the universe YOU came from when it destroys or “rewinds” itself on account of you changing it.
