What is the purpose of life? of existence? The latter of us will not significantly or atomically change the world in any stance or evidential way plausible. So why do we strive for excellence and try to achieve the highest form of living possible when our very own existence is so modest that if you died the universe would have no uncanny impact. We strive to better ourselves, through the uncanny principle of invisibility and shadows? Why? We live inside body’s that will take us through a parallel universe for a century in which we are then discarded on mother earth into boxes or burned and put into jars.
My question is, what is the purpose of anything we “accomplish?"

LOL FAIL:
We pretty much create our own purpose. We set our own goals to accomplish, regardless of size, and either accomplish them or don’t.
On the scale of the universe, the human race is completely insignificant.
Despite that, we have evolved to give ourselves a purpose to exist that is different from person to person, and the purpose of accomplishing anything correlates to our own purpose of existence.
We accomplish things to fulfil the purpose we’ve created for ourselves.
-shrugs-
There is also the fact that many believe that we are given a divine purpose(the majority of the planet does think there is some kind of divine purpose or reward for accomplishing good things and such, even if they do not believe in God)
We, on the scale of the universe have no purpose. No real meaning to this universe. If he died, like you said, it would have no impact. Nor would it have negative impact on our planet.
It’s funny, we think we are so superior but even if insects, such a tiny and easy to kill creature, died out(or just a few breeds of them) the earth would be thrown in to turmoil.
In a way, bugs are more superior to us in that, if they died, the earth would be changed.

Yes, the whole world would change, the food chains would be different and certain species would have trouble surviving. However, if the human race was to be extinct.. the whole world (in many ways) would be beneficially rewarded and many more species would thrive. So why do we think we are more superior when we destroy the very land and animals that live with us?

I think it is in human nature really. I also think that since we are smarter and such we see ourselves superior that way too. We are a cocky species and we are the only species that just goes out and kills for pleasure.
We destroy land yes. But what do we do with this land? We make it better for ourselves to live. We build hospitals, schools, houses, jails, etc. So we destroy the land that makes one animal comfortable to make ourselves(another animal) comfortable. The thing is, we are more consciously aware of things it seems, and that too is probably why we see ourselves as “superior”

We aren’t the only animal that kill for pleasure, many house cats do so as well. However, I agree with what you are saying.
Getting back on-topic however, what makes life worth living for yourself?

For me it’s just I want to make the best of the life I have, To enjoy it because it’s the only life I know for sure I’ll be able to live. Why not enjoy it eh?
That’s what makes me think it’s worth living. Even if I am forgotten after a couple generations.

Big picture, it’s all a learning experience, each of us were put here with a specific life lesson we were suppose to learn.

That’s not true. You can have your own meaning of life without having to have a God in it, and these meanings differ hugely from atheist to atheist.
- To Karl Marx, the meaning of life was serving others altruistically.
- To Ayn Rand, it was serving your own rational self intrests, without using force against another person or their property.
- For Confucius, it was to fufil your own role in society; whether you were a farmer, king, soldier etc.
- To Friedrich Nietzsche, it was to transcend morality, for the strong to dominate the weak.
- I’m not sure about Sigmund Freud, but he probably thought it was sex.

I’m talking about in the end. In the long run. We do all we do just to die in the end in an atheistic view. I know that during life there may be meanings for atheists, just after...

It depends on how you look at it. If you whinge and mope about how you’re going to die one day, life will seem negative to you. But for me, the fact that we only get one shot at this life is what makes it special.
(On a side note, I’d like to add that some atheists do belive in the afterlife, they just don’t believe a God created it.)

Any that I have talked to haven’t believed in it. Then again I haven’t asked a lot of them. But what you are saying goes along with the end of my first quote. Immortality.
