That is a realism mentality, perhaps it is the answer. Perhaps it isn’t?

What IF the purpose of existance was to teach and apply whatever principle to the universe? Every year the world changes, what if that is the role of the human existance? To slowly change the world into a better or more riveting parallel universe? Or what if the role of the human race was to end existance? What if we are too evolved inwhich we put pleasure over rational thought to the point where survival is not always the most aesthetic point of view? We are the only organism that actively commits suicide, we are the only organism that causes large amounts of CO2 in the air and we are the only organismatic creature that kills everything including its own blood and everyone elses blood?

Perhaps every birth could be linked to the clause of earth’s universal death? What if?

Perhaps the meaning of life is to find the meaning of life? That sends us into a continuous loop of nothing, isn’t that an interesting idea.

I don’t see life the universe and everything as having a purpose...or if it does I don’t expect to ever find out what it is.

So with that knowledge I just live life as I see fit and have my own reasons for “accomplishing” what I do.

That simple is not true.

Those people you mentioned perhaps had ambitions to be remembered past their living days...but not everyone does. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that most people don’t, and even those that accomplish some degree of it weren’t necessarily looking for it.
