I have to do a survey in my American government class. Can you guys help?

Economic Downturn. War on Terror. Increasing contempt from the rest of the Western World. etc.

If I’m allowed to contribute (being Canadian, not American):
I think that, besides the economic crunch, it’s the racial issue. When you look back at the threats of assassinating the president based solely on his skin colour, and others voting him for the same reason (though not as bad), it just makes everything messed up in my eyes.

(hopefully that’s what you meant by American Government)

Religious, racial and sex divides? Xenophobia about immigrants?

other then that, i don’t know, and i don’t care. lol...

but, seriously, democracy (or whatever the fuck we have now. its not a democracy, but the part i’m talking about is, so whatever) works AMAZINGLY if people know what is going on, and they vote according to knowledge. if the people don’t know, then it is the WORST possible form of government. and, that seems to be what we have right now. people need to think, and not just believe what people feed them. if we don’t do that, then we really do suck at this game.
