Because the concept of “deserved death” is sick. You can’t prove to people that killing is wrong by killing people. The entire justice system is flawed. Instead of attacking the problem at the root we use a band aid by killing them or sending them to jail. Crime is a technical problem, we won’t stop it by use of threat. You instead find out why the crime was committed and work from there.
For example, maybe someone goes to jail because they stole money. Not much thought is given as to why they stole the money. A common motive would be because they’re poor and they need to survive. Is a criminal someone who steals food to feed their starving family?
What about killing in the passion? Like if some one killed your kid and you found him. Also it is more expensive to execute people than it is to keep them in prison. We need more prisons, and some people in there for stupid things should be let free in my opinion.
Im talking about the killers that were completely guilty.
Killing them quick and painless doesn’t cost less in the long run. Feeding and clothing someone for life is not less than lethal injection or guilotine.

There is no quick and painless way. There has been instances where even lethal injection if not done right could be extremely painful to the person. Why can’t we try to get them professional rather than kill them?
