Not sure if this should go in politics or religion but on FOX news this guy who was supporting Gay marriage said that in 5 years conservative christians (catholics, evangelicals, African American ministers and their congregations etc) will be in full support of same sex marriage. I strongly disagree, especially since these groups don’t see this issue as a mere civil rights issue. Perhaps people from these groups will break away, and we’ll see former conservative christians supporting same sex marriage, (not saying it isn’t possible for some one to believe otherwise) but you really can’t look at the Bible literally and still support same sex marriage. IMO
But what do you all think? Will conservative christians (evangelicals etc) generally change their beliefs on same sex marriage (as a group)?

that your first mistake.
Technically FOX news is the conservative network so they wouldn’t agree with a statement like that. Now if that point was made on msnbc I’d have to take it with a grain of salt since its more liberal either way.

I’m guessing that more states are gonna legalize it over time
I’m sure it will be legalized but I’m also sure that people (as a group) who identify themselves as some sort of conservative christian will not change their mind about it. (At least not without changing their belief system first)
True Christians will disappear within a year or two, if not sooner, and the ones left will be false Christians and will accept gay marriage in the new world religion.

I know they won’t.
And we can’t expect them to. It’s what they believe is right, and it’s their right to think that way. However I think the issue is going to be overridden by the whole equal rights thing.
Know what I mean?

It will be and pretty much is.

Its not the same. Unlike slavery, Christians who are against same sex marriage have nothing to lose or gain for their beliefs.

Westboro Baptist Church in response to a question about whether or not they are involved with the KKK or neo-nazi group.
No. We don’t believe in physical violence of any kind, and the Scripture doesn’t support racism. God never says “thou shalt not be black." However, He does say, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." (Leviticus 18:22).

Why impossible? Society will eventually be more accepting of gay rights and if christianity wants to survive when that happens then they better go along with it.

Christianity will more likely fade away if it conforms to the ways of the world.

It also says in galations 2: 16
16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Faith in jebus, not obeying the “law” gets you to heaven...What does Leviticus mean again??? Oh yeah, LAW.....
