No. We don’t believe in physical violence of any kind, and the Scripture doesn’t support racism. God never says “thou shalt not be black." However, He does say, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." (Leviticus 18:22).
It also says in galations 2: 16
16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Faith in jebus, not obeying the “law” gets you to heaven...What does Leviticus mean again??? Oh yeah, LAW.....

Fixed
That would be a good point if Leviticus was the only book in the Bible that spoke out against it.
Romans 1
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. ---

1)What proof is there of this statement?
2)If being a gay isn’t wrong then why does it matter if they do?
3)Why do you think it’s okay to take away the rights of a hated minority who isn’t hurting anyone because of an unfounded paranoid speculation which, even if true, wouldn’t be much of a major deal anyway? | |

Not sure if this should go in politics or religion but on FOX news this guy who was supporting Gay marriage said that in 5 years conservative christians (catholics, evangelicals, African American ministers and their congregations etc) will be in full support of same sex marriage. I strongly disagree, especially since these groups don’t see this issue as a mere civil rights issue. Perhaps people from these groups will break away, and we’ll see former conservative christians supporting same sex marriage, (not saying it isn’t possible for some one to believe otherwise) but you really can’t look at the Bible literally and still support same sex marriage. IMO
But what do you all think? Will conservative christians (evangelicals etc) generally change their beliefs on same sex marriage (as a group)?
No, I believe they are loosing the war against logic. ---

Does your church interpret the Bible literally? If so thats actually a pretty rare case. If not, it really doesn’t fall into the conservative Christian dicotomy. ---
