“In a stunning announcement, Citigroup showed a profit and had its best quarter since 2007. They made $8 billion in profit. That just goes to show you, you give a company $45 billion in government bailout money, and they’ll show you how to turn it into $8 billion. See this is capitalism!" — Jay Leno

Liberal company? An oxymoron I think. smiley
Once someone starts a company, even if they’re liberal, they just get more and more conservative cuz they get greedier and greedier.

That’s what I meant too. To vote conservative is to vote for people that you believe will benefit you financially. Liberals want to take your money and distribute it all to either the government or the poor. Keep wathing Shadow, you’re gonna see a lot of that now with the liberals in control.

Yeah. But, I thought you meant they were Liberal(gave money away) than conservative(keep money) but not the oppinions on smaller subjects such as- Capital punishment, Abortion, and such.

So, they wasted there money because of the Democrats in Congress?

I’m butting in to your debate. A liberal view is one that believes government should control the people in this country and take money from the rich and give it to the poor. That’s called “redistribution of wealth”. Something you will see happening in the world soon. The UN will be given greater power over nations through the international courts. It is already a socialistic agency. The conservative view is less government control and more states rights. The liberals are known to “tax and spend” whereas the conservatives believe in less taxation. The conservatives are pro-capitalism, the liberals are pro-socialism. Both parties have good and bad people. People that are only interested in their own personal gain. Their difference in this regard is just the way they do it.

Well obviously an 8 billion dollar profit is a lot better result then a major credit company declaring bankruptcy.

Very good, little guy. I’ll send your belated response to Jay Leno’s joke writers. They just love feedback from the kiddies that respond to Jay’s jokes. smiley

For the people who rely on credit from them to pay for their houses and to borrow money it is.

Not really. If credit companies collapse, people end up worse off than before.

I honestly think it’s ALL gonna collapse. Of course, I’m a card carrying member of the “Know Nothing” party.
