I came across an article from a friend on facebook, it has a pretty good point. I think people who are constantly saying “our troops are over in Iraq fighting for our freedom” should have a look at it.
How, Exactly, Are They Defending Our Freedom?

If they bomb us, and we’re dead, we can’t really express our rights.
Unless you go to Heaven. :3

Them are some fightin' words. lol.
But seriously, It’s obvious we just want to be their friends so we can get oil and such. Having them be a democracy is a requirement for this to work out like we want

No. Now there are less terrorists/people in the world.

Does it matter? More people die from peanut allergies a year than from terrorists.

lost deer have killed at least an equal number of Americans each year since 1960 than international terrorists. So have community pools. So has lightning strikes. The probability that somebody will die from an international terrorist attack is minuscule, you literally have a better chance of getting hit by lightning.

It is a big deal since all the deaths usually happen at one time, unlike the other things where accidents happen over a period of time.
But if deer start killing 3,000 people a day then we have a problem.

No, there are MORE terrorists in the world.
Of all the nations in the middle east, Iraq was the one with the fewest terrorists under state domain. In fact, Al Qaeda considered Hussein their number two enemy, after the US.
Bin Laden referred to Hussein as “the socialist infidel”, and as a satanist.
In fact, we have greatly increased the number of terrorists in the world, and the likelyhood of a future terrorist attack, by conquering Iraq.
Oh, and to the guy who said we did it for the oil...no, if it was about oil, it was about REDUCING the amount of oil we could get in America.
Remember, Bush owed his entire career to Texas and Saudi oil families. Those families suffer (by their twisted standards) when oil is cheap, as it was when Bush was elected.
By engaging in belligerence against Afghanistan, Iraq, Venezuela, and Iran, Bush drove up the price of oil, making his owners trillions of extra, unearned dollars.
Sure, it crippled the US economy, but guys like the neocons are sociopaths. They don’t care about such things.
