Don’t get me wrong, there are some intelligent teenagers, but a long time ago I joined a teen forum, and now I went back there for the first time in quite some time. So I popped into the politics forum there and I swear to god, they’re all morons. Almost every single one of them just sat there and circle jerked each other making completely unrealistic claims saying “well this is how the world should be” and saying completely idiotic and unrealistic things that might actually be true in a perfect utopian society, but are completely impossible in real life. I’m not sure if this is a failure of the schools, which are in fact teaching socialism and liberalism or what, because something isn’t right if we have a bunch of 13 and 16 year old neo-communists.

What has the world come to? We have a bunch of teenagers who are worship Barack Obama and Karl Marx, as if they’re gods. These kids have been brainwashed into becoming unthinking socialists. Hell I’ve been posting on forums for well over half a decade, since I was 13, but not even I was that stupid. What are we as a society going to do about these unthinking hooligans and their new-found love of socialism?

I’m a Gifted and Talented student and I find this thread inaccurate. Some kids at my school are smarter than some teachers. We have access to more information and by using it correctly we can become smarter than past adults when they were children.
Also, hardcore Asian parenting is making kids work harder

Then of course there are the rebellious teens who think they’re in the top echelon of the most intelligent individuals on the planet.

Let me put this in a way both you and everyone else can understand. If you’re a casual poster then here, then you’re not a intellectual. If you think you’re smart for your age, then you’re not a intellectual.

The fool strives to gain knowledge, whilst the intellectual strives to learn.

Stimulating the brain with deep thought regularly will change the structure of the brain and indeed make you smarter. Thinking that intelligence is some kind of universal constant is a thought solely hold by pseudo-intellectuals who wishes to brag about how they’re born better, despite the fact that it isn’t the case.

studying will make you better at whatever your studying but figuring out your own questions and understanding yourself will make you an intelligent individual. If your mind works but you don’t know it well or understand it then your just as lost as some animal going through the motions.

Personally the younger people now days tend to think they are know it alls and have it in there head that the world owns them.

Also I am sure that there are older people that are that way as well.

I am pretty insightful and hold to me I see things for the way they are in a clear mind, and compared to most people on Earth I believe I’ve figured some of the bigger things out.
