Not saying you can’t, but it makes you come off as just having a vendetta against JUST Christianity. If your arguments are valid, you should have zero difficulty arguing them without referencing Christianity.
lol
love that idea.
or maybe something like
“Go a month without complaining about religion."

worth a try

I agree.
I’ll quit complaining about religion when the religious stop complaining about gays and abortion. Also creationism taught in PUBLIC school and the need for the 10 commandments at the courthouse....

Tell that to the gay hating christians who say they dont hate gays....god does....picketing with signs saying no to fags is being a hypocrite when your supposed to love your neighbor and such....by the way i dont judge people by my standards...i judge them by their own standards...its much better to point out how much of a non-christian a christian is by using biblical refrences...

Rip, I like you but you are wrong. True Christians do not hate gays or anyone. The people you see are “Christians” in name only. Also, it is not up to you or me or anyone to judge. God will do that and use their standards against them.

dont forget his angels
although thats really just Gabriel’s job... im more there to comfort people, and to take peoples' lives..
True Christianity is a “religion” of love, respect and freedom of choice.
Yet it has spawned so much biggotry, hate, and intolerance. Another thing...where does the freedom of choice come in when you have to follow a doctrine...Freedom to choose what? what color socks you wear...I can think of a hundred things(probably) that christians dont really have a choice in...

Rip, the freedom of choice relates to whether or not to be a true Christian. What other choices do you mean?

Pretty much what Haylias said. If we gave an argument about an entirely different religion than the ones we arguing with then how is this a debate. It’s more of a massacre.
But, if this be the case, then I challenge all believers to argue something other than anti-evolution or anti-atheists. There are plenty of other godless or non Islamic/Judeo-Christian beliefs out there as well.
See what I did there. I mean I can argue from any side, from any point of view, at any time of the day. I’m just that well coerced in the subject and is why I’m so successful at arguing it and providing a good point of view. So if you want to challenge me I can argue against Islam, Buddhism, or any organized religion you deem I need to do. But I don’t have to for two reasons. None of you will no about anything I’m saying because you have no idea about any of them. And you wouldn’t be able to argue back for the exact same reasons.
Make it easier for yourselves ladies and gents. Stick with what think you know so I don’t have to tell you everything you don’t.
That’s a pretty arrogant statement you made towards the end of your post. You’re not the only one who is extremely well educated on other religious beliefs and lifestyles, Zucas .
Arrogant... yes. Did you expect anything else from me. Not to mention, knowing I can back it up, why would you even waste a post to point it out. Your getting rusty in your old age.
But to tell ya the truth it is not original. Something someone else told me. Basically stick to what you know and don’t argue things you don’t. It’s only smart. Just the gist of it... but of course in arrogant form. You should enjoy it.

if that is the case then i concede that tre christians are vastly outnumbered by the cafeteria christians..but basically we cannot pick and choose which parts of the Bible to follow. If the Bible is the INFALLABLE word of god, then we must adhere to all of its rules.
Let me cite a few screwed up things that the “believers” are backsliding on. Leviticus chapter 18 verse 22 states that being gay is a detestible sin. It even goes further by saying in Lev. chapter 20 verse 13 that homosexuality is punishible by death. Lets look at a couple other examples. Anyone who speaks dishonorably against their mother or father, put to death. Adultery, death. Cursing God in vain, stoned to death. No contact with women during their period...What I’m getting at is that if you are a christian, you cant have it both ways....Your faith doesn’t allow for the luxury of picking and choosing which parts to adhere to.
If you believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and according to the believers, infallible, then you must accept ALL that is written...Cant be picky.... And one last thing....Someone try to find where Jesus himself speaks against homosexuality...I want to see the red print in the Bible where he says it’s bad.

If one is a true christian, then one doesn’t have the freedom of choice if they wish to stay that way....

“Many are called but few are chosen” - God
The Bible IS the inspired Word of God. If you read it from cover to cover and not take anything out of context or put your OWN meaning to something God said it is infallable. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not replace it. The Law was for Jews of the Old Testament and for everyone on earth as an example of their need to receive the forgiveness purchased by Jesus for them on the Cross. God cannot abide ANY sin. Not one teeny weensie sin. But Jesus bought us with a price. It is our choice whether or not we choose to accept His gift.

yup...that pretty much sounds like religion to me...
1. if you dont believe you burn and choke forever or are in limbo...
2. see the crusades the spread of islam and the romans...
3. see the witch trials or the inquisition....
Look, I know everyone isnt like that. But those are projections that stand out...
