Most mature Christians do this, despite what many atheists believe.

Many say they do when they obviously don’t, as well. However, questioning can only get harder as you age simply because even more of your life is built upon your beliefs. Questioning one’s beliefs at that point is an assault on their entire life.

Explain

Explain what? You know it’s true. People lie to others, but also lie to themselves. Saying that you’ve questioned your own beliefs is probably the easiest thing to lie about since nobody would ever know but you. Everyone says they have questioned their beliefs because it is more respectable to have done so. It makes them sound more rational.

The fact is, sincerely questioning yourself is one of the hardest things you can do.

don’t get me wrong (cause i am an atheist) but you don’t have to immediatley become an atheist when you question God... maybe just stray from the path a little bit like George Bush jk jk jk but you get the point... some christians really do question God and then come back to him (hell knows why)it is the phonies that make them look bad

I respect christians i just don’t respect some of their beliefs and I hate the hypocritical phonies

Most christians encourage believing without question, unless they are trying to impress or conform to their skeptic friends :\........

......Which is a possibility.

Lots of people do Mask. Only God knows what is truly in a persons heart. Some people are going to be surprised who they see in Heaven. I pray that I am surprised when I see you there and you have more crowns than me.

He still has access to Heaven, but he doesn’t reside there. He and his fallen angels reside on Earth. What do you want to bet on now, that he resides in Heaven. If so, it’s a bet. I want you to pay the bet to me in Heaven tho.

i’d disagree with that. of course. of course, you have to understand what you believe for me consider you a christian.

and, yeah, you did help. everyone here did, be it in a smaller degree (people like you, who i only debated with a couple times), or people who radically got me to re-examine my faith (matt, gplex. btw, i’m big on the whole 'internet shouldn’t cause changes in your life' mindset, but to be honest...you two have put me through some rough patches in my faith. you two are freaking geniuses. i really do believe that. and, i know how stupid this sounds to you, but i’d love to see either of you convert. not by my hand-that i wouldn’t like, actually. but, you are both amazing people. never forget that. you have my eternal respect).

heh, well, as conservative christians go, i’m really quite liberal. haha

and, i’d disagree that lucifer is in heaven.

What about these…
1) Perpetuating a book that is not scientifically accurate.
2) Making up statistics, lying, cheating, and censoring.
3) Perpetuating the belief that atheist are evil.
4) Dehumanizing those who are non believers. E.g. “They are swine, less then human”.
5) Trying to stop the use of scientific discovery. E.g. “You can not use anesthetic, because child birth is suppose to be painful”.
6) Threaten those who do not convert. E.g. “God will burn you forever if you are not a Christian”.
7) Telling us that they can’t love anyone. That’s why they can’t love God.
8) Insist there is a God, and show us where it says so in the Bible.
9) Accuse us of persecuting you.
10) Cite Kent Hovind as a legitimate source of information; and call him “Dr. Hovind”.
11) Claim that atheism is a belief.
12) Offer insane apologetics books in the hopes that we haven’t heard the arguments in them a thousand times already.
13) Explain that 52 children that where torn to bits by two bears sent by God where not really children but spawn of Satan.
14) Claim that Darwin recanted evolution on this deathbed.
15) Constantly attempt to equate atheism with theism. E.g. “That is your faith, this is mine”.
16) Start your own university dedicated to religious narrow-mindedness and restriction of free choice; and name it “Liberty”.
17) Reply to every statement they make, “That’s only your opinion”.
18) Insist that a denomination of Protestantism founded in the nineteenth century is the only true way.
19) Say that evolution is not proven. Therefore the bible is correct.
20) Insisting that homosexuality is a choice.

Never meant that questioning automatically causes you to become atheist. But the idea is that most people will do everything they can to avoid causing doubt.

He is reffering to a video by Venomfangx (since deleted) that states that Atheists (infact all non christians) have no Love in them because Love only comes from God etc etc.
