If you are saying weather or not religion matters in friendships, it really depends on your point of view and your personal belief system. There is a verse in the bible that says “Do not let yourself be unequally yolked”. In my opinion that means that you shouldn’t let people get incredibly close to you if they do not share your beliefs and moral systems. In the same way that if you a priest you don’t want your best friend to be a convicted criminal, having people around you who share your moral’s is good because instead of your friends breaking down your thoughts and idea’s, they strength and build them up with you.

And cheating is never right in any case. Though I’m sure you only posted this on here because you are hoping for some semi-balance of confirmation that what you have or will do is right and morally sound. Nothing I can say will stop you from cheating on whoever you plan on cheating on, because by asking weather it is right, you are already attempting to justify your actions inside of your head.
