Why do people believe “The” God?
For the same reason a 5 year believe in an imaginary friend. The question you really need to be asking is, why am you so angry at some thing you know to be imaginary?

People are god simple as that every theist has their own view on god he can be a force to reckon with or just one of the guys. A king who will never do anything to prove why he is king or the wind you can’t see it but it’s there.
So your saying because of everyone individual view on “god” it allows them to be god to pass judgement to say what god will and won’t do.

The special was practically about the “evolution” of monotheism their was just one all powerful god that literally did everything good, evil, miracles and travesties. Some where along the line people thought “so I’m worshiping a bipolar god that would most likely kill me as he would save me?!"

Actually, I don’t think they worked out the age of the Earth with carbon dating, I’m pretty sure it was other elements.

No it’s corrects itself, when some one can explain why very different species like humans and yeast share a similar gene for a protein that build muscle with out mutation or evolution or anything involving genetics the theory of evolution would be tossed aside.

Im not tryna soud like a arrogant asshole or anything but it was also “scientist” that were hype about “Y2K” and scientist last year there were sure about the “negative atom” (orsomething like that” in the UK.
Now I cant really put too much trust into the scientist that dont even know all the things that are alive in our CUREENT ocean into something “3 billon years old”

Yep god made man in his image if you consider how different people look and are God the same he hates what ever you hate he loves what ever you love he stands for what ever you stand for. I think what scares people the most about their being no god is that it makes their life pointless and the universe chaotic it’s depressing it’s also very liberating but people are are very negative and only imagine the worst.

Let me answer I speak fluent idiot.
First of all Y2k was made by a bunch rumors over bulletin boards saying the some one made a super virus that will basically hack the world and would activate on new years 200O because people were getting to attached to technology.
Second I don’t think a geologist needs masters in marine biology (Study of thingys that live in water) to differentiate(tell apart) sedimentary(sandy) rock from igneous(hard and shiny] rock.
Third, the negative atom in the Uk they have a hydron collider I think theirs 1 trillionth chance that it would create a black hole cause by a “negative atom”.

For the most part, these are evaluated by the scientific community and accepted or rejected based on available evidence. Yes, scientists sometimes get things wrong. Just because sometimes all the evidence isn’t available or some scientists get things wrong doesn’t mean science as a whole is flawed or the scientific community in general just make shit up. Having a degree in science doesn’t necessarily make you a scientist either.

Yes, scientists don’t know everything. That doesn’t mean they know nothing. People seem to have no trouble accepting 99% of what reliable scientists say without detailed knowledge of it, such as gravity, germs, magnetism, atoms etc... only when it makes them scared or contradicts their biased views do people say science is bullshit (evolution, age of the earth, the big bang etc.) when really these things have plenty of evidence for them. Also, isn’t the Earth 4.5 billion years old, not 3 billion?
