That is basically semantics. You are just using another word to describe it. In Biology, Apaption is defined " An alteration or adjustment in structure or habits, often hereditary, by which a species or individual improves its condition in relationship to its environment." That is basically evolution in a nut shell.

Evolution denotes a radical change in an organism that may or may not be spurred by the environment.
Adaptation denotes little change to organism to allow it to live in his environment better.

That is part of evolution dude. What do you think little adaptions will do to an orginism over time? Big adaptions in small steps. That’s evolution.
