There are many christians who believe if you are mentally incompetent, you are given a free pass to heaven as you are innocent.

My question is this, as a depressive personality disorder sufferer with schizophrenia, I have to regularly use logic to prevent self harm, or to make myself aware of common dangers.
I am also an atheist, mainly because I have to use my logical side because giving into my emotional side would be dangerous.
I also have a high IQ, lets just break down the myth that suffering from mental illness means you are stupid or weak.

My question is, do I get a free pass to heaven since I am classified as mentally ill?
Even though I am an Atheist?
I have committed the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the holy ghost?

Please no comments that you have to be insane to believe atheism - else all atheists go to heaven.

I’m confused SONOA? Your website just reinforced my answer. Was that supposed to be a rebuttal to me or to silverspirit?

Just further elaborating on the unforgivable sin.

I see. That was a good point at that site. Have you ever visited www.gracethrufaith.com ? Jack Kelley’s website?

No. I’ve actually never heard of this belief that mentally ill people go to Heaven. What I’ve always heard is that if you can’t judge right from wrong you get a free pass, pretty much. You sir, obviously can tell right from wrong even with your problem.

That’s what I thought it meant but I wasn’t sure, eh, I think that God, if he exists understands why I do the things I do and why I believe what I believe. I have never believed God would send a good person to Hell. I have saved a life or two(Sometimes more than once) and I am usually a lot kinder and much more tolerant to others. I basically act like what Jesus would want me to, well, except for when I am doing my rebellion against the norm thing.

I used to believe like you, but was shown why I was wrong. Too long for here. Unfortunately, you are confusing “good works” with “faith”. I believe that youor good works will help your “punishment” but not your salvation. “Salvation is by Faith alone”. Both of us, I guess, will find out at the end of the age.

Chibi...I forgot to say, “I hope you are right”.
