For me, I would make it sorta how it is now. But I would make sure people knew I existed, and I wouldn’t really want to be worshiped or feared. I would do things for people to know I existed but I would live “normally” without anyone knowing.
I would be pretty lax on laws too. I mean, nothing to hard or easy to follow. Just in the middle. Justified punishments for earthly things, as well as justified punishments for in the afterlife.
Why is everyone saying they would leave humans to rule themselves; what about all the poverty, diseases, starvation, dictatorships, crime, war, pollution, violence, death and insanity?
I would ressurect everyone who ever existed and assimilate them into my own consciousness, with no negative emotions like boredom, sadness or fear. Then I would make them and myself feel infinite happiness for all eternity, nothing but pure pleasure - kind of like having fifty thousands orgasms at once when you won the lottery tripping on every drug that ever existed while the girl you’ve secretely had a crush on for 5 years agreed to go out with you.
There you go. No sin, no suffering, no need to do anything at all. Just happiness. The perfect world.
And if it sounds bad, that’s just because you’ve grown up thinking happiness can only be the result of things you’re familiar with, like food, friends, technology, money etc. When you can directly insert pleasure into your brain, you don’t need that stuff.

I would keep things the way they are with a few changes but people need to feel most of thier emotions or there just not living life.
If the way I play The Sims is any indication, I’ll lock people in rooms with no toilet right after a meal. I’ll later force two people that hate each other to fall in love and make babies.

Why are everyone’s ideals so low?! Nobody’s even mentioned fixing global warming or cancelling third world debt, yet alone creating the perfect world.
Come on, we’re talking about omnipotence here. If people wouldn’t be willing to change the world with godlike powers, how is the human race possibly going to face the problems of the future...

Pursuing happiness and avoiding suffering gives personal meaning to all life. Why then would we need emotions like sadness, boredom and fear when all they’ll do is interfere with our pursuit of pleasure? Ridiculous.
I think lots of people would disagree with what I said just because they would be afraid of change, too dependent on their current way of life.

B/c experiencing sadness, boredom and fear are what drive people to pursuing happiness. If they lived in your world there would be no reason to pursue somehting that just always is.
Shaun, the rest of my post kinda implies that. I would give people signs. I would help people, I just wouldn’t want people knowing I was God. Sure I could erase their memories but still. Would not want to be a power whore I guess.
Creating a world of eternal bliss sounds kinda...unfulfilled. Would I allow things like religion to take the lives of others needlessly? Hell no. But I would want to see how things interact with each other, and I would want to limit my omniscience to be inherent. So I don’t know EVERYTHING only what I chose to know. That way I won’t know how things will turn out until I chose to. lol.
But yeah, things like using my name as a tool to further agendas and such would be a nono. I would deal with any other problems that arise however.
But when you say “Perfect” world. What do you mean by that? Because I could think of some general things, but what is perfect to one person may be flawed to another.
Also, the beauty of not helping with every problem is showing your genius when your creations discover the solution themselves.
Imagine if there was a God and he made Christianity to see if we would figure out the Bible was BS? What if this God valued intellectualism such as this, and rewarded those who used their brain and used evidence they had to come to the conclusion?
This is sorta how I would be. But I would never endanger the entire population.
