You should be proud of who and what you are.

If you are a homosexual. You should not feel as though it’s wrong and be proud of it.
If you like Death Metal music, you should not feel like you are a freak of nature to the world. You should be proud of it.

Basically, whatever makes you what you are, you should be proud of it(Most of the time.)
