Karma is a load of complete crap. I saddens me that people take their belief in objective morality so seriously that they assume it’s actually one of the rules of the universe. The chance of success someone has at a specific action depends on how skilled they are to performing that action, not whether cut in line at KFC one too many times. Sure, if you do a 'good' action that some bystanders witness and approve of then through word of mouth you’ll get a better reputation around town because for most people our survival instincts tell us to stick together, accepting those who help their society and rejecting those who don’t. But if you commit a crime like stealing a bike and when it’s found the bike is gone absolutely nobody suspects you then nothing bad is going to happen. If Karma existed and impacted on the universe we’d have to be able to measure it somehow or it wouldn’t have an impact. Sure, good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people, but a lot of good people go unappreciated and a lot of people who’ve done really bad things never get 'exposed' so to speak.

As for prayer, nothing ever happens through prayer that can’t be explained through coincidence. Okay, maybe you prayed to find your car keys and you found them, that is not something that couldn’t have happened if you didn’t pray. Nothing ever happens that is considered impossible, even though God can supposedly do anything, and even when something very unlikely like the occassional 'miracles' happen, these events occour on such few occassions that they’re nothing that can’t be explained beyond coincidence either. Maybe having prayed to succeed at a task like getting a girlfriend could give you more confidence with girls and increased your chances, but that’s it. It’s all in the mind.

I agree. Both of them are bullshit. If Karma existed good people wouldn’t have shitty luck and if prayer worked then some people wouldn’t be in situations they’re in.

Religion in itself is a complete sham. There’s no luck, karma, or any other super natural force that governs the universe. All that exists is science.

It’s funny how everything supernatural is always unable to be detected or conclusively proved in any way even though it supposedly impacts on reality, because to do that it’d have to leave some evidence that can be recorded...

And asking someone to refute the evidence instead of considering the possibility that the ideology may be true. Taking things out of context to make your point valid....straight

You want a valid point? There are good people in this world who have it worst then 90% of the bad people. If God or Karma were real, the opposite would be true. Those who are good would have a good life and those who are bad would have a bad life.

You can pray to God all you want, you’re just wasting your time like I did.

Oh no Cid it isn’t a waste of time at all! It is just Jesus testing your faith in him and you will be rewarded when you ascend to heaven! Now put some more money in the donation box please, for Jesus!

If Jesus is real, then she should get his holy ass down here so I can make it holy and blue.

Then send him back to his dad clutching his ass and holding a very angry message.

His dad can come with him and I’ll shove his head up his son’s ass.

God has helped me and my family even today through prayer. That may mean nothing to you but its evidence enough for me.
Its really all about faith in knowing God will work things out. Jesus even prayed that he would need to suffer. But he said let not my will but your will be done.

Example please. So that I can tear it to shreds with my steam powered hands of pure cynical logic.

God didn’t help you. God only helps those who help themselves. That’s why God never does anything when you’re not trying to make things better yourself. And when you do try, a difference is made, and you give credit to God. However, it wasn’t God but your own hard work that paid off.

When something good happens, it’s always God. When something bad happens, it’s never God.

God is bullshit. Religion is bullshit.

No, that’s not even close to dogma, quite the opposite. Considering that your ideology may be true without reason is dogma.

some one new wrote: Taking things out of context to make your point valid....straight

Show me how I’m doing that. I’m showing things on a global and historically human scale, now if you can call that out of context as to whether these supposed forces affect humans across the world and across our history then I really don’t understand your thinking.
