Why do you take everything in the Quran literal when it is obviously a metaphor?

LOOK AT THE OTHER VERSES BEFORE AND AFTER IT TO JUDGE IT IN CONTEXT.

[12.4] When Joseph said to his father, 'Father, I saw eleven planets, and the sun

The eleven planets are a metaphor for Joseph’s eleven brothers, the sun is his father and the moon is his mother. If it was literal planets, why would his brothers be envious and want to plot against him?
