i believe in god. i’m a christian, but i don’t think the other faiths are wrong. i believe the good will go to heaven and the evil to hell. i used to hear from the church that god loves every one of us, BUT you have to believe, and that is the only way to salvation. i choose to believe that god is not a sadist. i don’t think sending 3/4’s or 2/3rds of the current population to hell is love, and that doesn’t even count the previous thousands of years and what they believed. to me jesus was the savior, not a tormentor to billions. just my thoughts.

I doubt it, I’m a terribly boring individual. I have just left Islam because of a scientific innacuracy within. If you wanted to know all my beliefs there is no way I could write those up in a few posts. But here’s the basic philosophy: life is too complicated. Everything is complicated far beyond our understanding. Both Atheists and Theists don’t know shit about the universe even though they think they do. The authority we really have on this subject is as much knowledge as a monkey has about a primate researcher. I know I might seem like I have set beliefs, but really, I only go with them because they make the most sense to me, I’m not entirely sure. Nobody is, they just think they are when all they know about is the fat illusion they’re swimming in. Nobody is insane and nobody is stupid, they just seem different to people who think they’re beliefs are superior to the others. But nobody wants to get this deep into this shit so they can do two things:
* Be simple minded and keep their head down in ignorance to avoid being swept into confusion
or
* Believe or pretend they’re on the right path when really they’re on the wrong path, just walking in a different direction to the others.

Of course, this is kinda contradictory because my beliefs probably aren’t correct either. In the end it’s just a lot harder than we all think.

edit: yes, I quit Islam, but this is still my basic philosophy.

That is only in America, and it doesn’t happen very often any more.

Only straight Mormons do that.
