In Genesis, after Adam and Eve are banished from the Garden of Eden, God sends a magical burning sword that slashes back and forth like it just doesn’t care to guard the entrance. Now this is very awkward, because it is well known the sword was invented by humans well after the beginning of Earth. So does this just another reason the Bible is not legit, or is there some “symbolic” reason for it?

For someone who isn’t a Christian, you seem very interested in the mythology.

I’m forced to go to church, so I just decided to point out this flaw.

My view is - why try to justify any part of the story, if all the parts leading up to the parts that you are trying to justify are clearly bullshit?

I’m not trying to justify anything. I’m trying to prove the Bible wrong.

The bible proves itself wrong, all the work is already done for us.

Even our pastor pointed out a huge inconsistency, and completely failed to justify it.

Perhaps God already knew about the sword.
Maybe he gave humans the idea to make it.
It is hard for us humans to understand a being such as the Christian God. Or any of the other monotheistic deities.

“You can’t understand his ways." I can use that argument to say a retard is actually a genius but we cannot understand why he acts so.

Ah but we are not talking about a simple matter of intelligence. We are talking about something much more complicated.

God knows everything before its created, He knew swords before they were created and no, the garden of eden is guarded by an angel with a sword, the angel is Archangel Uriel.

Why a sword then, why not a machine gun?

It’s in Genesis, don’t remeber the verse exactly. It’s after they leave eden.

I can understand why he doesn’t exist since he’s just a work of literature.
