I don’t know about that. I think it’s just a thing people never thought about when making depictions of him. Like they just drew him white I guess. I mean they based God in the “Creation of Adam” painting on the image of Zeus, so I figure the based Jesus off a typical white dude(It’s my guess anyway.)

I don’t know about that. I think it’s just a thing people never thought about when making depictions of him. Like they just drew him white I guess. The “white” Jesus was created by the Catholic Church as a way for the Germanic tribes to actually connect with Jesus (what relevance does a middle eastern guy have to a bunch of barbarians?). At least that’s what Wally’s humanities teacher said. Late Roman depictions have him in the Roman imperial pose (for the same reason).
