You would probably find smaller mammals would be able to survive much better in this environment as they don’t need as much food, can find food a lot easier, can take shelter in smaller spaces and are harder for large creatures to catch, not to mention they breed extremely quickly. Rodents and rabbits could live in this environment, and cats would be able to prey off these rodents and other small creatures.

Humans, needing more food, not breeding half as quickly, being so reliant on technology and being pretty slow and crappy and catching prey with their bare hands would be fucked.

You can be “inferior” and important. All living things have their place (or niche) but (all religion aside) Humans have a higher tier and therefore more responsibility.
