So animals and stuff were killing each other in the Garden. Right?
Some people don’t think so, but its implied. If animals and plants weren’t dying than why were Adam and Eve supposed to take care of it?
Because the Bible is not always consistant, and what stopped the animals from attacking them?
The dominion over animals God granted them.
Technically the Bible says God created more animals specifically made for the garden after Adam was made. They didn’t have dominion of the animals outside the Garden.

Or rather the same level of dominion.

What does that have to do with anything?

Because it was apparently being explained that the animals outside the garden ate each other, and the ones in the garden did not. Adam and Eve were given dominion over the animals in the garden, but to a lesser extent to those animals outside the garden... So I’m asking why are there animals in the garden in the first place? There’s no food chain in the garden, but the same animals that are outside are actively participating in the food chain.
I want to know why there are animals outside and inside... rather than just in or out?

I can’t give you an honest answer for that one. As far as the Bible goes, details like that are fairly irrelevent to the point.

I don’t know.
It could have been in or out. Maybe the only ones that went in were animals that did not, biologically, eat meats. I mean, if you want to factor some natural selection into the Bible, it only makes sense animals would be in Eden that only ate vegetation, because the meat eating animals would die out. Of course, the meat eating animals could just prey on the animals in Eden, but if Eden wasn’t very large, there would be small amounts of animals to eat and they’d move on.
