Wally doesn’t see how this is relevant in Religion. The Creatards are offended by the fact humans aren’t special in anyway. Has Comfort never heard of amphibians, which often spend their childhood underwater, but then develop into air-breathing animals, which were probably the first land animals, such as Hynerpeton bassetti.

Comfort also seems to believe that evolution happens suddenly, when it’s gradual change. Male and female species would develop at the same time.

Afterwards, Comfort doesn’t even speak about evolution. Seriously, if you seriously trust this man and that 2,000 year old book of desert scribblings, just give up. This man clearly doesn’t even have a high school-level science education (an American one, at that) and wins people over with various ad homs at Darwin (the modern Theory of Evolution barely looks like the one Darwin wrote about) and periodic outbursts of “God loves you” and “The babble says it’s right."

Just because all the weak Pikachus in Viridian forest die doesn’t mean the other ones evolve into Raichu. Or something.

Natural selection is the foundation of evolution....

I do agree with you about the guy but i dissagree with you about the bible. The bible has been used for finding and giving a ton of historacal data and locations of citys, wars, battles, who was king or ruler in a area at a time and many other significant people.

There is not much data in the bible that we don’t have data on from another souce. Typically from ancient historians or philosophers who’s writings have survived from that time.

Wally doesn’t disagree that the bible can be used as a historical document, but like other records, documents, etc it becomes more believable when other documents corroborate with it (which has happened with some events).

Name something that secular scholars/historians take as fact that has appeared only in the bible.

Sure, but not miricles. Those have not been corrobortated with evidence. Wars and shit, sure. There is some stuff, but it’s all secular things. So I mean it really doesn’t matter much.

Forgotten kings/ruling party. The bible has been many times been the only reference to these kings and where to find evidence that it is fact. Places of historacal value that can only be found with the bible dealies of location many battles/wars are not documented anywhere else other then bibilogical scrolls/templets. These wars are found to be fact after exivations. I could go on but i would rather encourage you to find that the bible is initself a history book. Not believing in god should not consitute for a complete dissregared of the importance of the book in the means of the history IT HAS shown to be true.

Ah, as you said yourself, it was considered true AFTER their excavations found evidence for them, not just on the bible alone. My point still stands. I would like to know of which King is referred to that is considered to have factually existed, but is ONLY mentioned in the bible without any further evidence.
