The whole religion argument is pathetic. Rarely do I find an open minded individual who can defend and attack both sides equally. All I see is those who dig for something to support their statement, using whatever methods they can to bring down the opposition. This can work for both sides. Stereotyping and spreading the bullshit using 'logic' to make yourself seem correct. Hypocrites till the end. [/rant]
I totally agree, it goes both ways, the opposition usually almost always uses sources etc just to help their side of the arguement, I guess it’s human nature to be biased.
Well for me, although I’m religious, there are somethings in my “Holy Book” I disagree with. A perfect example is “An eye for an eye," Well to me, that makes the whole world blind. My “book” isn’t “evil” like people like to think, or “pure” like others think, it’s more nuetral than anything, because there are bits in their that are good and bad, and bits that are just lolwtf? So just to use one side of the book to forawrd ones arguements is just an endless cycle.
But meh.

man screw atheists their all the same
I have to say thats very ignorant of you. That goes on the same level as “All Christians are funimentalists” “All Muslims are Terorists” etc. Don’t judge all atheists based on what you expirence with one. All two atheists are garunteed to have in common are the lack of a belief in god. Thats all. That doesn’t tell you their stance or beliefs in other issues.

So many times I have heard Atheists quote verses such as “disbelievers will go to Hell”(Mat 13:42), “slay false prophets”(Deu 18:19) or “Make war on the infidels around you (Sura 9:123). Never have I head you quote “thou shalt not kill”(Exo 20:13), “love thy neighbour”(Mat 19:19) or “Do not agress." (Quran 2:190)
Why is this? Why do you simply ignore all the peaceful verses in the Quran and Bible? The fact that there are violent verses also is a contradiction, but it doesn’t favour the violent side. Even if there’s more verses, might does not equal right. You always rave on about Christians and Muslims choosing which parts of the scriptures they think canon and which aren’t, when you are doing the same things yourselves you hypocrites. Does that not bear at least an ounce of wishful thinking? Perhaps because you feel pissed of and betrayed that you think your religion lied to you?
No one is denying that there is some good in scriptures, but you dont get away for calling us hyprocrites for not following the whole thing, no you dont get away with stuff like that.
If you think your holy book is the word of god, then you can not pick and choose what you want to follow

What if you think some parts have been corrupted or misinterpreted due to the fault of mankind?
