Dogbert said the deepest thing ever.
“It is all a part of the big illusion we perpetuate upon ourselves and which is in turn perpetuated upon us. When we believe we engage the illusion, when we stop believing we shatter the illusion and ourselves in the process because we are part of it."
One wiccan symbol that is comanly used it the pentacle (its called with the circle around it, and pentagram its called without the corcl around it.)
I just thought I would note that the pentagram is not, strictly speaking, a “Wiccan” symbol, in the sense that it doesn’t originate with Wicca. It is an ancient symbol that has been used in various times by various cultures and religions. Its use has been adopted into Wicca (which is a modern religion).
It is difficult to know the exact origins of this symbol, but one of the earliest known uses was in ancient Mesopotamia. It has also been used in Greece, by early Gnostics, by early Celtic religions, and to a far lesser extent, by early Christians.
Its a pre-christain religion.
Also, Wicca is not a “pre-christian religion”. It is a modern religion whose history dates back to when Gerald Gardner founded it (the approximate date is 1954). Gardner did claim that he was initiated into a form of witchcraft (through the New Forest Coven) that was a continuation of “European paganism”, but this is a highly debated point. Even if it were true that the form of witchcraft he learned was based on “European paganism”, Gardner himself admitted that the rituals he had learned were “fragmentary” and that he had to adapt other material in order to make a “coherent system”.
Even in your first post, you quoted a definition that said that Wicca is a “modern Western interpretation of witchcraft”.

Nice! I was going to point that out but you beat me to it.
Wicca is a nature bassed religion, the elements of earth air fire water and ruled by spirt.
Its not evil but it has gotten a bad reputation, but most of the Salem witches were not witches they were fakes and due to there folishness thousands of people died by beaing hanged or burned. No we cant fly or shoot out lightning bolts but that would be kick ass. Its a pre-christain religion. Wiccans keep a book of shadows (BOS) which is a hand writen book of spells and potions that passed down from witch to her daugther generation to generation. Wiccans go by the wiccan rede which sums up the eitheics of the religion, its states harme none and stuff like that and talks about the three fold law.
The three fold law is when you do something, it comes back to you three fold. So if you do it comes back to you three fold or like times three and if you do good it comes back to you times three.
This is the green fuse glossary definition of wicca: “Wicca is a modern Western interpretation of witchcraft, and a Wiccan is one who practices Wicca. Wiccans often call themselves witches. Wicca is one belief system within what is called Neo-Paganism. Wicca is generally described as a Nature Religion.
Witchcraft belief. “

Thousands off people? There were no where near that amount actually killed. I believe it was more like 32 people. Wow. You’re numbers are way off.

So how many virgins have you sacrificed?
You’re thinking of the ChaosSpartan religion. Totally different thing .

Actually it was around 19 people.
Also you have wrongly attributed the reason for the whole Salem witch trial period. It wasn’t caused by people “pretending” to be witches...it was caused by mass hysteria. A group of girls were supposedly having fits, and this was attributed to witches. A witch-hunt began to find the people who were “responsible” for the girls being “cursed”.
One of the theories is that the young girls were faking all their fits and screaming, etc. to gain some attention. Perhaps this is where you’re confused.
There was one woman (a slave) who “confessed”, but it is unclear whether she was pressured into doing so. Given that she was a slave, she probably was.
And the number is about 24 people:
“Nineteen victims of the witch-hunt had been hanged, one crushed to death under the weight of stones and at least four died in prison awaiting trial."
Again, I find wicca/paganism/druidism to be complete bullshit. Most wicans/pagans take little parts of obscure religions and use it like theyre original. Not trying to be a dick to anyone here, just kinda expressing my feelings.
- oops sorry fucky, I pressed “edit” instead of quote. You said nothing wrong -
