Why do so many people think, that saying “word of God”, is the end all of all debates?

This is not a argument. Words on a page, that was clearly written by humans, with little knowledge of the universe, is not a reason to claim that this is the word of god.

If you want to use this argument, prove that it is the “word of God”, before trying to use it as a trump card.

#1 This has been debated to death on this website. I’m surprised they let you keep beating this dead horse.

#2 It’s not an argument, it’s a faith-based statement. The Bible was written by humans (Jewish), however, Christians again, by faith, believe that God inspired the humans to write as they did to convey His word. Agreed, they had limited knowledge of the universe, however, that is not pertinent to your debates.

#3 Just for your information, there are two definitions of the word of God:

a. word (small w)of God refers to things
written in the Bible.

b. Word of God (capital W) refers to Jesus
(the being of the Holy Trinity that
spoke creation into existense.

The earth it not hung on “nothing”. It is on an elliptical orbit around our star. Before you want to claim that there is nothing in space, I would want you to prove that gravity, dark matter and dark energy is nothing.
Animals? Why are you making a distinction between apes, and other animals? DNA has clearly shown that we are all related... All the evidence we have, shows that the “dinosaurs”, are our ancestors. So really we where “created” when life first formed. We only taken this unique pattern, we recognise as “human”, in approximately the last 150 000 years, of our long history.
